Paillard Bolex Vintage Precision Tripod – First Model 1953
This first model of tripod available from Paillard Bolex (1953) is made from aluminum with wooden legs.
The pan head contains a built-in spirit level with a detachable camera base. The Pan and tilt is adjusted with a handle, while separate knobs allowed movement of each to be locked. The handle can accommodate a cable release in a hole through its centre.
The wooden tripod legs are kept stationary by a support chain and can be adjusted individually.
Fully extended, the height is approximately 57″.
A circular Paillard Bolex logo is embossed on the top of the camera base and the screw can be flipped from 1/4″ to 3/8″.
This is in very good condition having been well looked after.
All controls are working. The legs extend fully, all locking knobs and handles work.
A superb example of this iconic tripod ideal for a collector and user.
