Paillard Bolex P2 8mm Movie Camera – SOM Berthiot Pan-Cinor Lens & Pistol Hand Grip
Classic 8mm Camera dating from 1962 with highly polished duraluminium body, covered in genuine Morocco leather. Metal parts are chrome-plated.
Specification of the P2:
SOM Berthiot Pan Cinor 9-30mm f/1.9 zoom lens.
Reflex viewfinder with adjustable diopter for eyesight correction; Rubber eyecup.
Variable Speed: 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, 48 and 64 frames per second.
Adjustable dial changes the shutter opening from 0-165 degrees to allow for shortened exposure times and fades.
A battery powered (Mallory RM450) cadmium sulfide photo-resistive cell measures light through the lens. The exposure metering system is sensitive to film ratings from 10 to 400 ASA.
Condition: Cosmetically it is in quite good condition for it’s age. It is a used camera so there are minor body marks from previous use. Runs well and all controls seem to be working.
Not tested with film. Meter not tested (needs battery) so not guaranteed to be working.
Includes purpose made Hand-Grip (not easy to find), Original Manual, Rubber Eye-piece (has some wear), Lens cap and spare reel.
Also includes hard protective case with shoulder strap all in good condition.
This is a lovely camera and ideal for the Bolex collector. Still functioning and usable.
